What is Respite Care?

Respite care is short-term care offered by senior living communities to individuals who need assistance with daily tasks when their regular caregiver is unavailable. Respite care is also a way for a potential assisted living resident to experience what life is like at the community.

The Independence Manor Respite Care Experience

Respite Care at Independence Manor provides peace of mind for caregivers who may need a break in their caregiving duties by offering residents compassionate care and 24/7 access to on-site nursing services. Caregivers can relax knowing that their loved one is in a safe and supportive environment during their absence. A respite stay is also a great way to experience what full-time residency would be like at Independence Manor and many families prefer a short-term stay as a “trial period.”

Our respite program is available to adults who are medically stable, but due to physical and/or cognitive impairments cannot be left alone or for those who require some recovery time after a hospital or rehab/sub-acute stay.
