 A Milestone for Independence Manor

Independence Manor celebrating 25 years

This year is a remarkable milestone for Independence Manor at Hunterdon —25 years of serving our community with dedication, compassion, and a deep commitment to enhancing the lives of our residents. Since our doors opened in 2000, we’ve grown from a small, passionate team into a thriving assisted living and memory care community that feels more like a family than just a place to live. It’s in the way we have cared for our residents for 25 years that sets us apart.

A Legacy Built on Love

What started as a simple vision—to create a place where seniors could receive necessary assistance while maintaining their independence—has blossomed into a vibrant community filled with warmth, laughter, and meaningful connections. Over the years, we've had the honor of caring for hundreds of residents, each one leaving a unique mark on our community.

From festive holiday gatherings to quiet moments shared over morning coffee, every day at Independence Manor is a celebration of life. Our dedicated staff, some of whom have been with us since the beginning, work tirelessly to make every resident feel seen, heard, and truly at home.

While our community has been active since 2000, we are always undergoing renovations to keep the building modern and safe for residents. Depending on when you were here last, you might feel a sense of rejuvenation!

Thank You

We wouldn’t be here without the support of our incredible families, our devoted team, and the vibrant seniors who’ve made Independence Manor at Hunterdon their home. Thank you for trusting us with your care, your stories, and your heart. Here’s to the next 25 years of comfort, care, and community!

Sharing Warmth and Kindness throughout our Community
February 1, 2026
February may be a short month, but it’s filled with meaningful moments that bring people together. As winter continues, this is a perfect time to slow down and focus on the relationships and simple joys that make each day special in our community. A Month of Friendship and Appreciation With Valentine’s Day in February, the month naturally centers around love and appreciation. In our Assisted Living and Memory Care Communities, that means celebrating not only romance, but friendships, family bonds, and the caring connections between residents and staff. It’s a reminder to show appreciation for the friends and family that offer support in everyday life. Simple gestures like a kind word or time spent together can make a big difference, especially during the winter months. Cozy Activities for Cold Days While colder weather may keep us inside more often, there are plenty of ways to stay engaged and energized. February is a great time for group activities like games, crafts, music, and storytelling. These moments not only keep minds and bodies active but also strengthen the sense of community that makes assisted living feel like home. Take a look at our Activities Calendar to see what events we have scheduled for the month! Taking Care of Ourselves and Each Other Winter is a great reminder of the importance of self-care and wellness. Knowing that help is always available due to our 24/7 nursing staff gives residents peace of mind throughout the day. Whether it’s enjoying a warm meal, staying active with our AM Exercise or Open Gym, or taking time to rest and recharge, February encourages us to focus on our health and well-being. This February we celebrate the kindness, care, and connections that make our Assisted Living Community a place where everyone feels supported and at home.
